Jay M. Diamond

Advisor, Managing Principal, CFO

Jay has been a guiding force at Investmark since 1990 and has served as senior advisor, senior partner, and now as managing principal. He has received several industry-related honors, including recognition by the Five Star Advisor program*, the Women’s Choice Award**, and Commonwealth Financial Network®’s prestigious Chairman’s Retreat. Jay has also been recognized as a Commonwealth Leaders level advisor—a distinction that recognizes success based on a ranking of annual production among Commonwealth's network of 1,710 financial advisors! Jay has also been featured in trade publications such as Research and Registered Rep. In addition to his primary focus of providing financial planning and investment advisory services to the clients of the firm, Jay takes great pride in overseeing the development of the firm’s junior advisors. His wisdom and industry experience have inspired the next generation of financial professionals. Jay also serves as the firm’s chief market strategist, providing oversight and guidance for our overall wealth management process, which includes a quarterly webcast featuring an economic outlook.

Jay received his MBA from the University of Connecticut and graduated magna cum laude from UConn with an undergraduate degree in finance. He resides in Monroe, Connecticut, with his wife, Tina; and sons, Aaron and Stephen. Besides family and finance, Jay enjoys sports (tennis, skiing) and music (piano, guitar, singing). Jay is also a car enthusiast and active within the Connecticut chapter of the Porsche Club of America.

Michael C. Kusick, CFP®

Advisor, Managing Principal, CEO

Mike joined Investmark in 1995 and has since risen through the ranks to become the firm’s managing principal and CEO. His leadership and innovation have been driving forces behind the firm’s growth, and he continues to motivate the team to strive for perfection in every aspect of our work. Mike’s approach to wealth management is thorough and comprehensive, as he encourages his clients to understand the “big picture” that captures their overall financial and personal objectives.
 
Mike has been distinguished as a Five Star Wealth Manager* for 9 years in a row, most recently for 2019; featured in industry publications, including InvestmentNews and Registered Rep; earned multiple invitations to Commonwealth Financial Network®'s Leaders conferences; and selected to attend Commonwealth's prestigious Chairman’s Retreat. Mike has also fulfilled the educational, ethical, and examination requirements to earn the benchmark of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional, in addition to the FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations (held through Commonwealth) and the Connecticut Life Insurance license.

Mike enjoys spending time with his wife, Traci; daughters, Hannah and Kailey; and son, Michael. Mike has also been active in coaching soccer and football for his children’s teams.

Nicholas T. Christie, CFP®, AIF®

Advisor, Managing Principal, Director of Advisory Services

Nick specializes in the management of client portfolios and has been with Investmark for over two decades. Nick is a managing principal and serves as director of advisory services, which allows Nick to focus more of his time on portfolio strategy, design, and implementation while providing exceptional financial planning solutions to his clients. Nick also serves as chairman of Investmark Advisory Group’s Investment Management Committee, which meets to review, discuss, and revise the firm’s investment strategies and objectives. Nick has also been distinguished as a Five Star Wealth Manager again for 2019*.

Prior to Investmark, Nick was a portfolio analyst assisting in the management of private client equity portfolios and mutual funds at J.P. Morgan in New York. Before that, he was an accounting analyst at Fidelity Investments in Boston. Nick received a BS in finance from Syracuse University and holds FINRA Series 7, 31, 63, and 65 securities registrations, as well as life and health insurance licenses through Commonwealth Financial Network®. Nick is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®).

In his spare time, Nick enjoys spending time with his wife, Sharon; and their children, Caroline, Julia, Mary Katharine, Ania, and Thomas. His other interests include reading, tennis, working in his yard, playing the drums, and traveling.

Joseph P. Jandreau, CFA®, AIF®

Advisor, Principal

Joe joined Investmark in 2004 and has more than 16 years of experience in the investment business. He specializes in providing comprehensive wealth management services to clients and is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) for retirement plans. Prior to Investmark, Joe was affiliated with the HSBC Group—one of the world’s largest financial services companies—where he held various senior positions in investment management, corporate finance, and credit risk, and also managed private equity portfolios for institutional investors. As seen in Connecticut Magazine, Joe has also been selected as a Five Star Wealth Manager* 8 times, most recently for 2019.

Joe's broad professional expertise adds a valuable dimension to the management of client portfolios for affluent families and individuals. He received a BBA in accounting from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network®. Joe is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) charterholder and has completed the certified public accountant (CPA) examination. In addition, Joe is a member of both the CFA Institute and the Hartford CFA Society and is a former trustee for the City of Bristol Municipal Employees Pension Fund.

In his spare time, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife, Jodie; and their two sons, Daniel and Matthew. He is an avid New England Patriots fan. His other interests include golf, traveling, and gardening.

Douglas E. Kerr, AIF®

Doug has more than three decades of experience in the financial sector and brings a depth of experience in developing and implementing comprehensive financial strategies for business owners, corporations, and successful individuals across the country. Having run several large companies, he is particularly attuned to the needs of business owners. His goal is to help smart, successful people that care about their families to grow, protect, and ultimately distribute their wealth.

He has served on the board of directors of numerous industry and nonprofit organizations. Doug is a frequent speaker on financial and economic topics. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network® as well as various insurance licenses.

He is a member of the New Hampshire Estate Planning Council and the New England Business Brokers Association. Doug is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) and has held numerous other designations. He received a Master of Management degree from the Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University and a BA in economics from St. Lawrence University. Doug has been the recipient of the Five Star Wealth Manager Award for the past four years.

He resides in Grantham, New Hampshire, and enjoys volunteering with local charities, as well as skiing, golfing, and sailing with friends and family.

Robert P. Iannazzo, CFP®

Advisor, Principal

Investmark Advisory Group welcomed Rob Iannazzo, CFP®, to our outstanding team of wealth managers in 2019. Rob is a Certified Financial Planner™ with over 30 years of financial planning expertise. He was previously with the IST Group at Morgan Stanley. He was distinguished as a Five Star Wealth Manager* for 2019.

Rob’s primary focus at Investmark will be guiding his clients through the financial planning process. He listens carefully to develop a roadmap that fits each client’s unique vision for their financial future. He begins by discussing and defining goals such as retirement, educational planning, planning for important life events and goals, and creating a legacy. Rob's process also includes a review of each client's current financial situation, including net worth, income, investments, and asset allocation. He will also review health care costs during retirement and have a discussion on long-term care planning.

Rob had served as vice president at both Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley and is also a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠.

Drew N. Bowman, AIF®

Financial Advisor

With over 15 years at Investmark, Drew works directly and indirectly with all of the firm’s clients, helping to guide them through all aspects of the wealth management process. Drew is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) and is instrumental in our Retirement Plan Services area, working with small to medium-sized businesses to provide appropriate strategies and helping owners keep those plans in compliance with Department of Labor regulations. Drew also works with our strategic partners to fulfill critical components of our due diligence process, stay abreast of new developments, and ensure that their objectives remain in line with the objectives of our clients. With a prior background in information technology and financial planning software, Drew provides operational oversight and support to ensure the delivery of “best-in-breed” account reporting and financial analysis to best serve our clients.

Drew is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network®, and is licensed for life and health insurance. Drew enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, and listening to music. 

Scott K. Williams

Principal, Director of Operations

Scott is a veteran of Investmark, having served with us for more than 18 years as director of operations. Scott spearheads many of our business development and marketing initiatives by employing his extensive knowledge of corporate communications and information technology to promote Investmark and its mission. In addition to his marketing and technology roles, Scott manages our human resource operations by overseeing the acquisition of new team members, implementing comprehensive training programs, and seeking new educational opportunities for Investmark employees. Scott also manages the firm’s compliance and administrative obligations.

Scott is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and worked at the Wharton School of Business prior to joining Investmark. Scott enjoys spending time with his family. He is also an avid guitarist who performs regularly in the area (and at some Investmark functions!).

Keith Anderson, CPA

Controller

Keith has been affiliated with Investmark for nearly two decades. During that time, he has taken on a variety of functions, including lead tax advisor, co-director of our CPA Strategic Alliance Program, and, now, as our controller. He is an exceptional resource for our clients and their CPAs, as his diverse background in accounting and investment management bridges a gap between these two distinct yet highly correlated fields. Keith works closely with our clients to analyze the tax implications of their investment strategies and coordinates with our advisory team to ensure that all portfolios are designed with the appropriate tax codes in mind.

Kimberly Lopez

Client Services Associate

Kim joined Investmark in February 2014. Prior to working with us, Kim served as client services manager for Price Financial Group and brings a wealth of industry knowledge and leadership skills to the department. Her experience and attention to detail enabled her to hit the ground running here at Investmark, and she has demonstrated that she can provide a high level of service that we expect for our clients. Kim is responsible for all aspects of client service and relationship management and works closely with our wealth advisors to ensure an outstanding experience for each client. Kim is especially well versed in managed portfolios, having extensive prior experience with SEI, our core provider in this area. We anticipate that Kim will add immense value to our operations. She resides in Stratford, Connecticut, with her husband and two young sons. 

Lisa Seymour

Wealth Management Coordinator

Lisa has been in financial services for almost 10 years. Most recently, Lisa had a long tenure in the Wealth Management department at Fairfield County Bank. She holds her FINRA Series 65 securities registration and is responsible for all aspects of client services at Investmark, as well as helping with business development. She enjoys working out, hiking, and cooking. Lisa is a very proud mom of a son and a daughter, both of whom graduated from Boston College and are now working in financial services as well.     

 

Nick Giammattei

Associate Advisor

NBefore joining Investmark in 2019, Nick served as a financial professional with AXA Advisors and Mass Mutual. Nick works closely with Investmark’s senior advisors and is responsible for preparing financial plans, retirement projections and portfolio reviews. Nick received a BS in finance with a concentration in wealth management from Coastal Carolina University.  He holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations, as well as life and health insurance licenses.  Nick enjoys spending time with his family, working out, sports and travelling.

Lisa Walsh

Senior Administrator

Lisa brings a wealth of financial services industry experience to the team and is the first friendly voice you hear when calling the office. Lisa handles a wide variety of administrative responsibilities, including helping with many of your day-to-day requests for information and support. She has been with us since 2014 and has proven herself to be a great asset in our office and for our clients. Lisa lives in Fairfield with her fiancé and has two sons in college, two dogs, a cat, and a blue Amazon parrot. She enjoys exercising, spending time at the beach, and being with family.  

Danielle Goncalves

Client Services Associate

Danielle joined the Investmark team in 1999 and has witnessed and contributed to the firm’s evolution throughout her tenure. She began as an administrative and support specialist and has taken on a more demanding role as a client service advisor. Danielle brings years of experience and industry knowledge to the team. With her outstanding work ethic and leadership qualities, we have been able to build upon our service model to offer more solutions to a more diverse group of clients. Danielle resides in Trumbull with her husband, Jason; and their two daughters, Madison and Gracie. Danielle’s interests include spending time with her family, reading, and vacationing at Disney World.

Collin Dickinson

Client Services Associate

Collin has been on the Investmark team since 2016 and has become a key member of our Client Services department. He is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University and holds a bachelor's degree in business administration. In his spare time, Collin volunteers at Chapel Haven as a mentor for special needs students and coaches for the Special Olympics. Collin is an avid baseball player and was on the Division II team at American International College.

Lisa J. Coba, CPA

Business Development

Lisa has been a CPA professional since 1987. She has been a guiding force for Investmark's clients seeking tax planning services as they relate to the development of their investment portfolios. She has been with us since 2011 and has worked closely with Keith Anderson as co-director of our CPA Strategic Alliance Program. This program was specifically designed to allow us to team up with regional accounting firms in order to provide a continuum of financial planning solutions to each firm’s clients. To date, we have partnered with multiple accountants to bring our wealth of financial services to their practices, creating a network for high-net-worth individuals who seek the guidance of a variety of skilled professionals under one roof.

Lisa holds a BS in accounting from Sacred Heart University and an MS in taxation from the University of New Haven. She has served as a treasurer for various school PTOs and has volunteered as a Girl Scout leader and school coordinator. She has been actively involved in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life (Shelton) in the past and was a co-founder and sponsor of Hope Luncheon for several years, which raised money to benefit breast cancer research. Lisa lives in Huntington with her husband, Rick; and daughter, Brianna; and enjoys reading, exercising, gardening, cooking, baking, and traveling.

Bailey Barnum

Reception & Administration

Bailey joined us in 2018. She is also currently pursuing a degree at Housatonic Community College, studying business and psychology. She is responsible for reception duties and a wide variety of administrative tasks, including support for client services, marketing, and information services. Bailey enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors.
